The installation Water and silence is offered to whoever wishes to look at it, read it, listen to it or think about it, as an open proposal, where the different languages that make it up arise and participate in the same idea that unites them and grants them genetic unity. Thus, the visual aspect, the poetic-textual aspect or the musical-sound aspect, cohabit imbricated in a fabric that connects them and gives them meaning within the whole.

In Oriol Espinal's work, the word is content and form, theme and structure, a morphology of the verb, the sacred word capable - as the artist himself says - of "generating its own graphic heart and, at the same time, the periphery that frames and defends it". In the various preparatory studies, as well as in the final version, Espinal uses two images to create this disturbing and enigmatic work entitled Unity: the word and the hand. Crossroads was an interactive digital art project created between 2000 and 2002 using Adobe Flash technology. However, due to the removal of the .swf player, we now present it as a video simulation that lacks all the original interactive functions. As a result, the viewer's experience is reduced to a mere passive observation of the images, animations and sound backgrounds.

In this regard, it should be said that to create the portrait of Goya in the piece, I used an original print of the self-portrait with which the Spanish painter preludes the series Los caprichos (The Whims).
